Rovers? What's that?

Rovers is the University of Scouting - a section comprising men and women from age 18-25. Rovering is the pinnacle of the Scouting youth sections - activities are entirely organised and run by Rovers. It's all about personal development, learning new skills and how to be the best person you can be. It's also a great opportunity to make friends and have fun. Whatever you want to do, Rovers can take you there.

You don't have to have any previous Scouting experience to join, just enthusiasm and a sense of fun!

What's Aesir?

Aesir Rover Crew is a crew based in the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, at 1st Beaumont Scout Hall. The crew has a diverse range of interests from hiking, skiing and rock climbing to motorsport, blacksmithing and electronics.

Generally Rovers have more branch (State) activites than other sections in the Scouting Movement, and Aesir regularly attends these. We also run our own activities including crew camps, hikes and more social gatherings. We're willing to try anything new, so if you have a good activity idea contact us and we'll try to make it happen!

As a crew we develop our own programme and everyone has a say in what we choose to do. We have experienced hikers, skilled mechanics, and accomplished event organisers within the crew, but the great thing about Rovers is that if you want to go sailing, there are people who can lead us, lend us equipment and also train us - giving us the skills to lead our own trips in the future. The same applies to rock climbing, kayaking, abseiling, land yachting, scuba diving and whatever else you might set your mind on.

Aesir are very accepting of new people. We believe Rovers is about having a good time, meeting new people, pushing our boundaries with adventurous activities and serving the community, both Scouting and broader.
